Got FTTC a while back, initially speedtest showed this:

Regardless my ftp speeds sit around 3.8MB/s and p2p around 4.4MB/s, certainly an upgrade :)

I am satisfied with my download results, Israel to New York, but my upload results are low. What is the determining factor in upload results? Any way to increase them?

It's actually a little faster in both Download and Upload.

There's no way to complain to Time Warner and get my upload speed increased is there without paying more for their wide band service? I hate having such a slow upload speed -_-. It really shows when I'm trying to live stream a game or something.

Well I guess it depends. What speeds are you supposed to be getting. If it's 15/1Mbps then you are basically getting what you paid for. If it's 20/5Mbps or 30/5 or whatever (don't know the tiers) then you aren't getting what you pay.

When it comes to internet, you generally get what you pay for, literally.

Easily one of the most inaccurate speed test sites on the net (speakeasy). Over inflated speeds rates due to boost, like you wouldn't believe sometimes. I'm on a 15/3 plan. Upload is restricted by Tomato firmware and QoS for Vonage phone.

speedtest.net isn't much better for accuracy either.

Last Result:

Download Speed: 35890 kbps (4486.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 2704 kbps (338 KB/sec transfer rate)
