Given the adaptability of the sentinels, they'd surely win

One on one? Destroyer, easily. It generally takes 2 or 3 Sentinels to take down 1 X-Man, while Destroyer gave Thor a run for his money.

Now a dozen Sentinels might stand a chance. That's the strength of the Sentinels - that they can be mass produced to overwhelm a target with sheer numbers.
