Where to sell custom and unknown art?

Hi,

I have a bunch of different art. Many that were purchased from artists on Deviant-art, people on Etsy and places like this. Most if not all would be unknown to most people, the artist of course.

None of it was cheap, many have beautiful frames and things like that. I am thinking about selling them and was wondering if there was an ideal place to do so?

Obviously there is Kijiji and places like this, I am just wondering if maybe someone knows of a place designed specifically for this.

I have been trying to figure out the same thing myself, so if anyone knows or has any idea it would be appreciated. I have a bunch of Shepard Fairey signed prints I am thinking of selling to pick up a Surface Book so I can have one component to work on my graphic novel instead of several like right now. I figure it is okay to sell art for the sake of creating more art.

OP, I am actually considering trying eBay myself. I do see some art sold on it. Not much, but there is some.
I was also going to look up conventions in my area and or art shows and was thinking of possibly getting a table at one.

I think the issue for me is price.

To me these items are worth a fair amount. Yet even cutting its value in half might be hard for someone to want to pay. If they don't know who or what it is, its value means nothing.

So that is my concern, and would think a community or location to sell it might have better luck. I myself hate ebay and have had no luck with anything in the past, so that one I don't think I am going to bother.

A local convention thing might be an option. There aren't many here in Ottawa though.

Ebay or craigslist? You could also try amazon.
