What do you call the button in the bottom left of Windows 10?

I see, so you can use that excuse when you want, but if someone else points out you've already use it, suddenly it's not viable, right, gotcha.

Yes, some peoples task bar is moved 99% by accident, but I come across it so rarely like 1 in 100  that it is still easier just to ask them to press the button in the bottom left

I'm yanking your chain mate, just doing to you what you did to this guy https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1281892-what-do-you-call-the-button-in-the-bottom-left-of-windows-10/?do=findComment&comment=597185062;)

Well it used to at least show a tooltip that said "Start" in Windows 7 and the Windows 8 Screen also had big letters at the top that said "Start". Anyone who's used Windows for years and still doesn't know that it's called the Start button is a moron. :p

Btw if you install Classic Shell and use this nice button: http://www.classicshell.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3087 you can bring back the text while keeping the Aero or Metro typography and transparent background. You can also customize the tooltip of the button to say for example, the %computername% or your name.

Ah, i thought you were being a pita, my bad. I'll still call it "Start" or "That windows button at the bottom left" thoguh :p

I just got off the phone with a customer who had Windows 10 and the Internet wasn't working on his laptop. So I had him try his iPad... first he had to turn it on... I think they literally turn it off or something, because it sure took a while for him to be ready. Then he couldn't figure out how to access  the Internet. Finally I said, is your wife there? So I talked to her and she verified it worked.

So then I told him lets restart your laptop. So I say click start .... then he is all confused and he said he has no idea were that is. ... his wife over heard the conversation of the laptop needing to be restarted so, she helps him click start and chooses "Shut down" ..I'm like.. no no no no ... I want a restart... well it was too late, they shut the computer off and turned it back on. Lucky that did seem to work. Internet worked again.

I wanted a restart because of the way Windows 10 mixes shutdown and hibernation for "Fast Startup" ... there are some problems a shutdown won't fix and a restart will.
