Browser (Safari) Refresh

Ok, so I've noticed A LOT where I go to a website such as my cell phone provider's login page to my account and it always refreshes in the middle of me typing in my username thus causing me to start all over again.   It does this refresh on various sites but I cannot figure out whether its caused by something on my end or the website's end.  Any input?

Manage to Google two solutions:

 

1. Disable any newly installed Safari Extensions

 

2. Go to Settings > Safari > Open New Tabs in Background - Turn this off.

I'll see if there's an option for that on my iMac.  I should've clarified in my OP.  I'm having this issue on my iMac.  Also, the issue isn't where I'm going back to a tab and it refreshes.  I'll open up safari, go to my cellular provider's webpage and will start typing in login info and it just refreshes on its own at that point.  Could it be the same problem?

Not on all pages and even on pages where it was "common", it didn't always happen.  Its just weird.  I'm not sure if it was something on my end or the page's end.
