Ethernet Randomly Disconnects After System Restore

Recommended Posts

Hello awhile back I did a system restore with the cd and when fully finished I noticed that my Ethernet would randomly disconnect when wired. I also have no option to wirelessly connect to a internet connection after the system restore.

System Specs:

-ASUS H81M Motherboard

-GT 730 (4GB)

-Intel Pentium G3240 Haswell Dual-Core 3.1 GHz LGA 1150 53W BX80646G3240 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics

-Windows 7 Home Premium

Have you looked in the Device Manager for any yellow exclamation marks. You may have to reinstall a few motherboard drivers. Some driver disks that come with a motherboard also offer a repair option if the driver is present but not fully integrated.

As above. If you can download this on another machine and transfer it to it via USB stick or whichever way you can and install it should be the correct driver for ethernet on that board for Windows 7 32bit and 64 bit:

Try what Broughton says. That should fix the issue. If not you can always try a USB nano WiFi reciever. I have used these many times and they work well. Edimax is a brand I have used
