Hello,

I did a "One Button Checkup" on Norton Systemworks .. and they found a program integrity error which reads:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\MAPISRVR.EXE cannot access a necessary file, "gapi32.dll"

Just curious, anyone know what that problem is and how to solve it? NSW can't fix it..

Also, my computer shutdown is kind of slow, it hangs when it reads "Windows shutting down" for about 10 seconds approx. then it'll restart, anyone know what causes that and what I can check to see what makes this problem? I just wanna know if I could fix these minor problems. Thanks!

Try This Out

1. Open Windows Explorer.

2. Navigate to the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi\1033\NT.

3. In the right Explorer pane, right-click Gapi32.dll and choose Copy.

4. Navigate to the folder C:\Windows\System32.

5. Right-click System32, and then choose Paste.

6. Close Windows Explorer.

7. Restart the computer.

 Run the 5 stage check disk. C:/Properties/Tools, Error checking, check off both boxes. After scheduling a check disk, Restart the computer -- takes 20 to 45 minutes -- will check for missing or corrupted system files.

Also you could possibly get a good copy of the bad file and install it into the Windows folder.
