Try this link.

The 4100 has two slots for memory, you will have one 128mb stick pre-installed, so the best advice would be to go for a 256mb stick as it's rather inexpensive, giving you a total of 384, enough for most computing...

$34.19 = 256mb SDRAM, PC133 CL=3 Non-parity

And they even give you FREE UPS 2nd day shipping. And it's great memory!, I have two 128mb pc100 sticks from Crucial that i've had for a long time...!

Installing memory in the 4100 is actually easy, Dell make their cases so that it only takes one thumb screw to take the side of the box off, plus the directions that crucial give you are excellent.

Hey I got another one for you me101 :) When it comes to nitty gritty I tend to get a bit lost :)

I have a Microstar M6167 mobo (worst in the world, no jumpers AT ALL) with 128 megs of memory in the long slot at the top :) (Athlon K7 - 650, tho I think the shop conned me and sold me an overclocked 500 as I never seen the speed get over 630ish)

What type n how much can I / do I put in?

Hehehe, have fun

he he, having fun...

ok, from this page, http://hardwarezone.phing.com/reviews/mb/m...ms6167/6167.htm i see that the memory for this board is

Supports 168-pin unbuffered PC100/PC133 SDRAM (Supports ECC, 1-bit Error Code Correct function)

So according to Crucial, you could just pick any PC100/133 memory that they have...

:p

To add your RAM Is the simplest upgrade in the world...Open your case! Find where your other RAM chip is...there should be a few free slots and slot it in! You don't need drivers or anything....To find out if it's worked then on Bootup your computer should do a memory check....if the number up there changes to the new amount then it's on.

You probably want more detail but I'm not that helpful! SORRY

From a hardware speed standpoint, if you're adding, say, 256M when you currently have 128M, take the 128M DIMM out of Slot 1 and put it in Slot 2, then put the 256M DIMM in Slot 1. It makes a miniscule difference in time, but, hey, who doesn't want free time?

For the price, though, just buy 2 256Meggers and be done with it!

Get Cruicial RAM. There may not be anything wrong with e-buyer but a) You may get low quality ram and b) They may not be trustworthy. Go for cruicial, kingston, or cicero RAM... Its only 10 bux more usually (if even that...)

    • From this very article, thought I got no source on that, I haven't been following this personally (aside knowing they did launch an ultrathin) An earlier rumor had claimed that Samsung will be increasing the production of its foldable units and will phase out the upcoming S26 Plus in favor of the S26 Edge. However, the latest news out of South Korea might make Samsung rethink its strategy.

    • OneDrive search is currently broken for many users by Taras Buria If you are trying to find a certain file in your OneDrive storage, but the service just won't give you the stuff you need, you are likely experiencing an issue that Microsoft has just confirmed. The company updated the official OneDrive documentation with a list of known bugs to clarify that the service currently exhibits problems with the search functionality. According to Microsoft, the bug affects four platforms: Windows, iOS, Android, and Web (macOS users are spared). The company says that affected users see black search results, and the storage does not return files that certainly exist (do not blame Microsoft if OneDrive cannot find the file you accidentally deleted or renamed). Fortunately, files are intact—it is just the search that cannot find them and present them to you. Another good thing is that the issue does not appear to affect 100% of users. Microsoft says only "a subset of users" experience the bug. Neowin checked a bunch of systems with personal and work OneDrive accounts, and all of them found the requested files without any issues. Unfortunately, if you are affected, there is nothing you can do at this point. Microsoft made it clear that there are no workarounds. Therefore, you will have to manually scavenge your OneDrive folders (they can now be colored!) to search for the needed file. Microsoft added that it understands how disruptive this bug could be, and it is "working with urgency" to resolve the bug as quickly as possible. You can check out the list of known OneDrive bugs and their possible workarounds in the official support document. In other news about OneDrive frustration, Microsoft recently locked out a user who was attempting to move a bunch of important data from old hard drives to OneDrive. Eighteen attempts to resolve the issue led to nothing but automated replies from Microsoft. You can read more about that wild story here.
