Which file system for USB flash drive for best Windows/Mac OS compatibility?

Recommended Posts

I use Windows 10, a friend uses Mac OS X 10.12.

I have a 5.5 GB video file and a USB flash drive.

They want to play the video file on their system.

The file exceeds the limit for a single file if the drive is FAT32-formatted.

Should I use NTFS? exFAT?

What exactly do you want to do with the drive? Mac can read NTFS so if you want them to play directly from the USB or copy from the USB that works. If you want them to be able to move stuff over to the USB you need to use exFAT.
