I want to choose something decent for 1080p gaming. This total price is in THB so you guys have to translate to US Dollar. My budget is 15000THB

A GTX 1060 would be ok with that spec. Or one of the newer AND cards

A computer without an SSD borders on unusable these days, it's just way too slow. I strongly advise settling for smaller but faster storage. If you do run out of space you have lots of options later on (use flash storage, add a hard drive etc.).

As for the video card, I'm not sure about the point of these kind of threads, there are up-to-date "Best graphics cards for the money" everywhere on the internet and any info anyone gives here will be out of date in a month. Just google one of those and take whatever fits your budget.

I would agree with you about a SDD but his budget is only $431 US.

It starts at around 50$ for a 120GB SSD. It's not a lot of storage but one can work around not having a lot of storage. Bad performance, though, there's no solution.

Biggest issue - GTX1060 (even GTX1050Ti) are seeing price-gouging in private sales (and stock shortages among online resellers - even Amazon is getting bit).  Cause - cryptocurrency mining.  Instead of closer to $150USD for GTX1050Ti, I've seen north of $175USD for non-Amazon resellers on the site.  (Yeesh - that's what caused my one-month stall!)

When the stall finally died, I got an MSI GTX1050Ti GT OC - mainly because it was the only GPU of the type priced close to stock and with Amazon as reseller (I had originallly planned on going with the EVGA Superclocked - or possibly the SSC; however, now you know why I went with neither.).

1.  Plus #1 - Despite my "weaksauce" CPU (G3258 - except for VERY light gaming, it would not be seen as the heart of a gaming system under any circumstances), with the MSI installed, I get reliable 1080p gaming in everything other than shooters as far as DX11 goes.  MOBAs, RTS, city-builders - 1080p all day (or night, for that matter) long.

2.  Plus #2 - No extra power needed.  Even though I was replacing a GPU that needed extra power, I hoped to be able to improve without it (GTX750 - original Maxwell - was a wake-up call).  Segue to now, and we have - for all practical purposes - Maxwell Redux in Pascal form.  It's the first GTX to not require extra power SINCE the GTX750 - and the first GTX Ti sort to do so at all.  Better power AND performance, at a lower power use/watt - in fact, lower wattage use, period.

3.  Connection simplicity.  While I don't have DisplayPort, I DO have HDMI - the MSI supports full-size HDMI (in fact, HDMI 2.0); the GPU it replaced supported DisplayPort, but not full-sized HDMI.

4.  Result - THE one-item upgrade for "weaksauce" desktops with PCI Express slots - of almost any vintage.

    • Getting so tired of this push for that new useless slop over the less-useless old slop that at this point I just want M$ to have this nice, big, hearty cup of *FU*.

With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. • Thanks Microsoft but no, I find both iterations of Outlook terrible nowadays and switched back to Thunderbird at home.
