DJLunacy
doubtful. for Playstation they don't exist there are boot cd's for PS2 that will let you play imports, you still need to have a mod chip to play backups. but there is no boot cd for the original playstation. Blahsted
There is a boot disk but its easier just to buy the game enhancer which will let u do backups / imports it just plugs into the port thing in the back. Heres a link to someone that sells them :) http://www.gamegizmo.com/GE/gepic.html and heres the psx boot disk :p http://www.gamegizmo.com/bootdisc.html Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/13305-psx-boot-disks/#findComment-108877 Share on other sites
DJLunacy
looks like i'll have to find a iso and test it out. does anyone actually have one of those cd's? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/13305-psx-boot-disks/#findComment-108939 Share on other sites
Fili
Here's the PSX boot disk, just unzip the iso file and burn it to a cd then run the disk in your playstation then insert the normal playstation game disk.the zip file is 800kb and about 40MB unzipped. Qwakui
That's a heinous compression ratio! And it decompresses so quickly! How is that? BTW, Just to save anyone else time, that boot disk did not work for me on PS2. Is it PSX specific or am I doing something wrong? PM5K
Well we are talking about a psx boot disk, not a ps2. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/13305-psx-boot-disks/#findComment-110086 Share on other sites

syscrash2k
actually, i think it is impossible to get a psx boot disk without buying an originla boot disc. you see, the psx wont read the downloaded boot disk without a modchip, so ur better off buying one. Blahsted
There is no psx2 boot disk :p, you need a mod chip and a boot disk along with it for most of them. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/13305-psx-boot-disks/#findComment-110240 Share on other sites
