ok. i'm going to get an AIM screen name. it asks me for my email there. would it be a good idea to give my main (spam free) email address? i know i sound a bit paranoid, but i have started using another mail service and havent been getting spam for 1 year, and i would like to keep it that way.

so my question is, what does aol need my mail address for. it is strictly for registeration, or would i be getting spam aswell.

I just gave them my spam address. You need ot give them your email because you get a confirmation email that you must reply to in order to activate your screen name, otherwise it is deleted in 7 days. They do this to try to stop a few IM spammers.

where are you getting spam free? or are you just using filters that are that good?
