#teamviewer Teamviewer 12 dual monitor to single monitor

Question

I use Teamviewer to connect from my home to my office computer. Currently I use single monitor and also one monitor is connected to the computer at the office.

My employer would like to purchase for me an additional monitor which I would use from home.

The question  is: if I use dual monitors connected to my local PC in my home, can I use dual monitors also when I connect with  Teamviewer into office computer which has only one monitor?

I.e. can I use the office computer as if it has two monitors connected even though it only has one display, and I in my home I have two monitors? I of course need the benefits that the additional monitor provides and improved multitasking on both the home and office computers.

So it would essentially  be dual monitors to single monitor connection over Teamviewer.

Does anyone have experience with such a scenario?

Thanks a million :)

i don't believe this would work with teamviewer as it simply mirrors the remote computers display. you would probably need a RDP or similar remote connection that takes over the display as its own.

If you use Remote Desktop you can use all your local monitors, even if the remote computer only had one monitor:

So if you can VPN in to your workplace or use Remote Desktop Web Access, that could be a viable solution.
