10 years at my job!

Today marked my 10 years with the same company, which also is a personal record for me as well, my longest previous was 13 months, so I am very proud of myself making it this long!

All I got was a certificate signed by the company boss, the CNIC, and the CO of the base. No money, nothing!

Same here. I hit 10 years last November and didn't get a thing, not even an email to say congrats.

Congrats dude, I'm a month away from hitting the exact same thing, 4th job role within the company but 10 years is fast approaching.

My company has an increasing scale based on 5 year increments, the 10 I'm about to hit is £600 (as in I have to buy something and expense it back). I think it only goes as high as 25 years of service and recently someone hit 30 years and got nothing :(

yep 15yr you get £150 voucher and another days leave and 25yr service is a £500 voucher.

our annual salary is always above inflation, with a double % increase if you go above and beyond, I got 5% this year :) (rest got 2.5%) in 10yrs my salary has basically doubled without any proper promotion as such. Private biomedical sector and IT.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
