Hello folks,

I'm Jeff , i'm new here and in general new to the linux world....but the poison spread quick!!! I started seriously reading up on Linux at the start of the year and iv since then been able to create a wifi to wfi  TOR annonymizer AP/seed box(working through ethernet so as not to load the TOR network)/NAS with a single raspberry pi (the stem cell of computers) so if anyone needs help or links to the tutorials I used I can gladly provide...

recently I'v been tinkering with Kali Sana, but let me clear here..... im not a wannabe noob hacker...well i guess by definition I am, but i mean harm to no one!.... I just find pentesting fascinating and more so the tools that people have created on the subject....WOW...... but yeah its always a little touchy subject asking for help on pentesting on a non dedicated forum....

anyway glad to be on board, cant believe i didnt come across this site before, so much cool information!!

regards

Jeff

awwww thx for the warm welcome everyone, sadly I do not speak German..... Iv learned some basics while i was in the army but cant really speak it....i understand when they yell at me though.... that being said i do speak 2 of the 4 national languages, French and Italian...im currently not in the cheese dealing business so sending you some is a no go...

I actually have been busy working on this script (BASH) but im afraid I can not share it here as it will violate the house rules, I seem to be having trouble figuring out how to incorporate "options" in my my script.... say user selects option "1" then the script will do x, option "2"--> y,  and so on... but im sure ill figure it out eventually...

Nick the last update I sent you I spotted an error after I sent it.....after "sleep 12" it should call on $interface1 not what is currently written....otherwise its pointless I ask to specify an interface in the first place....

i am quite jealous that a lot of europeans can speak so many languages. it's truly a wonderful asset to have. here in the US we've isolated ourselves so much that we dont even speak spanish or french like our neighbors do. i've been learning spanish over the last ten years since my wife is colombian. it's tough to do as an adult. wish we enforced the learning of other languages as kids!

enjoy your time here!

yeah it does get harder to learn a new language as you grow older, but where there is a will (or a wife in your case), then there is a way right? it might be of some consolation to you that here in Switzerland, learning a second national language though mandatory, depending on the region, is not always appreciated...which is ridiculous since we are literally surrounded by Italy, France, Germany and Austria (Austrian is not the 4th national language by the way, something called "Romansh" is, a mixed up soup of French, Italian and German all squabbled together to make a language.... its pretty trippy)

Eventually you'll be allowed to, as like everyone else here, once you've established yourself, on the grounds of being a helpful member.

Of course a member of the site staff are in a better position to explain and interpret the house rules.

I know jack squat about coding ... but I'm sure someone here would be willing to help if you asked your question in the appropriate forum section.

...and welcome!

my wife and i visited Switzerland a year ago and were amazed at how many people spoke english, not only in the tourist areas, but all over! We went to Bern, Lauterbrunnen, Lucerne, Interlaken, Zurich and Vaduz. We never had an issue communitcating. In fact, my wife has two german cousins who met us in lucerne. They couldnt understand the swiss-german dialect at all! haha

hahaha well I cant tell the difference between German and Swiss-German....

on a different note i was able to figure out my problem with my script (my baby) by using the "options"....option...... man i really wish i could share it with some one im pretty proud of my creation!!!

    • On xiaomi hyperos there's also an option to disable google assistant. I've got everything disabled. Only thing I do have installed is a web wrapped for duck.ai which claims to let you use various AIs anonymously
    • I need to understand the rationale of not shipping all of these K2 improvements in a single update/release. It's giving "we will fix Windows 11 but no commitments". It seems to me that they just announce these improvements just to appease the community.
    • The term "RTM" is long gone starting with Windows 10. Every current release is a GA build. This is the result of MS making Windows as a Service (WaaS).
    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
