It's the reciever part for a wireless Xbox controller.

It is a little big and sticks out a lot. But that's because it has the socket on the front for a memory pack thing as there isnt room for one on the wireless controller itself.

The actual wireless Xbox pad is the one on the left in the second picture.

Doubles up as a kinda media centre my beds to the right of the pics, so i kinda just lay in bed and watch tv/winamp.
