Nice (and messy) setup you have there. What size TV is that aand is it HD?

You answered your own question :p

That's actually clean for me, well the desk anyway... The room is still quite a disaster :p

The TV is a Philips 30" and it is indeed HDTV. If I had it to do over again I would've bought a flat panel and paid a couple hundred more :(

I've got a 3 port fiber audio switch, and the pelican switcher for all the different systems. The TV doesn't look as big because of the 2405fpw sitting below it :p

This thread is good luck, I finally got 9 lives in Geometry Wars after posting :D

Edit: That's more of the form factor I should've gone with Lingwo :p

Well, here's a camera phone pic of where my 360 is now. This is an old pic from when I first moved into this apt, and as you can see there's an original XBox playing, as the 360 wasn't out yet. TV's a Sony Wega 32", and a crap Sony 5.1 system.

My 360 spends its time connected to that or my 2005FPW (when I want to see the game in HD). However, it looks good enough on this SDTV that I don't bother connecting it to my monitor very often.

EDIT: Here's an updated pic. Still poor quality. This is actually a composite of two even crappier pics (one had the TV screen show well, so I superimposed over this one).

Oh ok. That Dell Display looks mucho coolo though.

I was thinking of buying one of the newer 30" Samsung Slimfits but I was't too sure of the overall size increase I would get over my current 20" TV that I game on now.

I sit about 7 feet from the TV and I don't want most of the HD detail to miss me wether it be games or movies because i'm sitting too far from he set.

Here's mine..

Rocking an Modified XBOX with Monster GameLink HDTV Cables.. Showcasing XBMC running in HDTV 1080i!

sure its not 480i? I didn't think that the xbox could handle 1080i, buuut I could be wrong. I know it looks damn good in the project gotham skin for media center. Can't wait for XB360 skin - going to be amazing.

    • Apple are scared of their customers! They have built a brand over the years of "it just works out of the box", but that slows innovation. Samsung's master stroke was the Galaxy Ultra: "Let's cram everything into one handset, make it so stupid only real nerds will love it, some of the features will work, some won't, but the audience will have such a high tolerance they won't care". Apple has no such device and so they are constantly worrying these days about the fallout of creating a new experience that customers might not like. I know it is often cited the reason they don't build a touchscreen Mac Book is they don't want to cannibalise the the iPad market, but I think it's equally cold feet after the criticism Microsoft receive trying to make a touch compatible desktop OS

    • So, an article that has nothing to do with Windows 11, still gets Windows 11 in the title and a build number as the picture? Dell have a buggy build of Support Assist HP have UEFI settings that need unlocking for the secureboot cert upgrade to take place.
    • What I can't seem to understand is that Google are paying SpaceX? Surely it would be the other way round, with SpaceX needing Google's datacenters etc.? Oh well, this level of money and power is way outside of my comprehension at the best of times.
