Here is my brand new setup.

It is literally just two days old. :punk:

Unfortunately, I have not been able to play more than an hour yet. :(

Haha yeah, trust me though if it was slightly warm in any area other than the GPU and the CPU I would move it to a better area. Don't worry though, I mean I am in Canada and it's pretty cold up here, I live in the 9th floor too so it's pretty windy thus my apartment is colder than the usual household :p.

I get what you mean about the whole carpet thing, my room is a warm room and when I put my laptop on my bed it gets pretty hot (around 60c).

You seem to be a big fan of Xbox 360 heh, If you were my neighbor I would just put the Xbox 360 at your place heh, and come over when I want to play until you get your own then we can play online =D.

I hope you get your 360 soon, do you have an HDTV?

HAHA, Like the sound of that. Plan to soon but for now my 2407 will have to do which can do 1080p so I should be fine.

Sexy. What model?

Nice, I changed my post to model # just as you posted. That piano black is just so shiny.

 And then I changed my post to include the model name after I saw you changed your post.

It is nice and shiny now, but if my cats have anything to say about it it, that is going to change really soon. They love going up on the ledge right by it since the TV is warm.

Now I wish the 360 was black.

w000t!

The Simpsons! :woot:

Nice setup & nice games u got there

That TV is so much more beautiful than mine.

Hows that TV workin out for ya? I'm think about getting the 32" one.

Not sure if you were asking me or not, but if you were, instead of writing over everything I have said, I will point you to this post in the thread I stared in the Home Theater forum in which I went into details about getting itand setting it up.

The answers I can see here is it is working out absolutely fantastic. As I stated, I have not gotten to game much at all on it since I got it in Thursday, at most an hour, but that brief time I did play, I was just blown awa. Samsung actually worked with MS for a gaming mode for this model itself. Gaming is just beautiful. Finally, although I only played with it for about 20 minutes, I can say I could not see much of a difference between 720p and 1080i.

All High Def looks great, DVD's look absolutely amazing and right now I do not even have them hooked up via HDMI, and they still look better than I imagined. Everything except the 360 in that shot was all brand new that day and hooked up on that same day. I did not realize I would need a reciever until I got the TV, so I had to go out and buy that too. Was not excepting to do that, did not want to do that, but I had to.

Seriously though I go into even more details in the link I gave you, mainly my gripes about now how normal non HD signals look really bad. Worth reading if you are interested in perhaps buying one.

No worries my man. I checked your profile and see you were born in 1990, so that means you are 16 or so right? Just think, when you are a 32 years old fart like me, hell, even sooner than that, you too can treat yourself to nice presents like this as well. And then you too can also get into debt just like I am.

I am going to try to get some gaming on it as soon as this boxing fight I am watching is over.

Well I have a 4:3 TV as well hooked up the S-Video and I must say that it is a really nice picture. I have not seen it in HD even though my dad has one. He thinks it will burn in to easy

Hey, what theme are you running? It looks more sleek than the default.

EDIT: after looking though the themes I found it, you can delete this post if you feel nesessary. Sorry =[. (For anyone else wondering its carbon)

Yuh its shocking how bad SDTV looks on HDTV screen's... Stuff recorded on my media center looks naff on my 19ins LCD tv but looks fine on the 360 connected to an SDTV...

tho it works both ways, HD games look downright terrible on SDTV's(I can't really play them its so bad)

I'll post a screenie of my setup here when I get my new hdtv next week >.>

getting my XBOX 360 this week. Here is the sexy beast it will make love to and give me hours of countless orgasms.

    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
