^You could use your CRT as your monitor and get HD. ;)

True bro, but my friends come ofter often and we need all the space we can get. We'd rather play on a bed, look at a nice big screen, and hear some explosive sounds coming from the speakers. Crowding around a dingy '17 monitor and listening to some dingy 2.1 speakers wouldn't make much sense.

And I guess if you do hook it up to your montor, it's techinically HDTV, but on a tiny 17 inch? I see no difference, I don't see HD. Now if it's on a sleek 32+ inch screen, now THAT'S HD, no wait, it's not HD, it's an orgasm to your eyes.

set your pc's resolution to the lowest possible, that's SDTV, now turn it back up to the highest res., that's HD

very big difference with a normal tv imo.

Have you ever tried playing split screen on a 17" monitor? Not fun. ;)

Here is my set-up.

52' RCA HDTV

Idk why the yellow line going through the tv is there. Cam sucks

(btw: the little blue and red things in the floor are for my dogs. they are called kongs, they have peanut butter in em' lol)

I just got the wireless headset a few days ago. Working pretty good for me. I only have 5 games but i'm doubling that this weekend!

I'm a PC gamer too man. I've played in all resolutions. Still doesn't change the size of the monitor.

Just recently upgraded from a '13 to a '27. My friends parents upgraded to HDTV and didn't need their '27 anymore. They sold it to me for just $50. I'm really glad I bought this, I mean it's not HDTV, but for a 17-year old guy who's counting his dollars, this is one of the best things I could buy.

i like your setups, they're from the real world.

These suck because my only camera is the one on my phone. Anyway I didn't clean up like I said I would yesterday. I couldnt really be bothered. In amongst all the junk theres a Logitech Z5400, of which the control panel is atop the 360. Thats a 24 inch Benq FP241W. To its right is an iAudio X5 MP3 player which I'm using for audio atm since my PC's solution is less than satisfactory. The case is a Lian Li V2100B and like every great setup known to man theres a lavalamp next to the monitor.

Yeah theres a crap load of CD's, I'm currently re-ripping my collection. Those 2 piles account for 1 shelf worth of my collection. It's going to take some time.

finally the lair of the smigit is revealed!

Here's my setup :D

nice one magik! got a love lounge feel to it.

I win. I'm an 18 year old counting my dollars aswell, 32" LCD HDTV FTW! However, as a comission salesmen, I do make good money, more than average 18 year olds make. Usually around $35/hr. Ok nvm Im not counting my dollars. Damn I should have went 50"!

Next up, Harmon Karden receiver! Wooo!

Here is my brand new setup.

It is literally just two days old. :punk:

Unfortunately, I have not been able to play more than an hour yet. :(

Notice the Nyko Intercooler in the basket on the floor to the right.

Took it off as soon as I read a thread that was started here about it.

hahahaha Larry nice to see how you roll. took me a while to find your 360, almost like Waldo there for a second.

regarding the core...i bought it off a dude that bought the core + wireless controller, HD cables and HDD with 4 games back last december for $400 dollars. So beat that deal! :D

Regarding WMP11, yeah...I have WMP 11...This however is my all in one WINAMP skin....

Yeah, I have to say that that is one hardcore-looking setup, Meshuggah. :) Looks like the set of some "hacker" movie.

The Jersey trio have impressed me the most so far. (Y) Almost makes me want to move there. Houses come with nice HDTVs there, right? :p

jerzdawg,

I absolutely love the tv stand..wonder where can I find it or which store is it from?

Nice tv setup by the way :)

thanks.. its actually from Ikea... it was 2 years ago but it was one of their common things..so they should still have it... plus it was only $99 iirc

It looks like the GoW Emergence Day theme

Nope. It's a Halo 3 Theme...I think it's customized though, not one that you actually get off the MP. The GoW Theme has the text "I played on Emergence Day 11/12/06" (or something like that) bottom center.

    • "CRAZIER than ever!" Crazy Taxi: World Tour is officially coming soon by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Sega announced it is working on bringing back some of its classic franchises in 2023, and while it has taken some time, the company finally gave fans a look at one of these new projects at the Xbox Games Showcase today, which turned out to be a brand-new Crazy Taxi entry. Watch the debut trailer above, which has snippets of gameplay in between the cinematic bits while blasting a track from The Offspring. Dubbed Crazy Taxi World Tour, this installment is aptly being described as being "CRAZIER than ever!" The director behind the original, Kenji Kanno, is helming this new entry as well, which will come with access to five new cities to drive in, competitive multiplayer modes, a vehicle customization system, and more. Axel is returning as a protagonist as well, but this time a mystery driver is offering him the opportunity to take his adventures to the streets in other countries. This will involve Axel chasing down masked villains that have somehow stolen his taxi, which means even more extreme missions and challenges to overcome. "From transporting passengers at top speed to tackling unique side missions and odd jobs across dynamic maps, there are countless ways to drive crazy and rake in big money," says Sega about this new installment after over 20 years. "Perform outrageous drifts, catch insane air, and drive at crazy speeds across five different cities as you work to deliver passengers and complete a variety of missions and challenges." The studio has even confirmed an in-game Arcade Mode that players will be able to access containing the original games for plenty of nostalgic action. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is currently slated to release sometime in 2027 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
    • This and Crazy Taxi are the two games that interested me the most from this showcase.
    • Good, because the nonstop chattering from the voices in her head made me quit the second game.
    • This new cabinet design lets you run AMD, Intel, and Nvidia PCs inside one case by Sayan Sen At Computex 2026 earlier this month, AMD announced a couple of new X3D processors for both sockets AM4 and AM5 as it confirmed the support extension of the latter till 2029. And although Intel didn't unveil any new desktop chips, the company's Core Ultra 200S Plus series is relatively new too. Let's say though that you want the best of both worlds simultaneously, and instead of running two different systems, you can have both running together side-by-side, or rather on top of one another. That's exactly what Thermaltake's CAPO X dual system is made for doing. While it's not exactly mandatory to run AMD with Intel, or vice versa, you get the idea. As you can see in the render above, it is essentially like a double-decker PC case that is capable of holding two microATX (mATX) motherboards. Even running just one discrete graphics card in a PC can get toasty, so you may be wondering how well the cooling is designed on the CAPO X, Thermaltake has confirmed, as is evident from the marketing promo image above, that the case supports up to two 360 mm AIO liquid coolers. 420mm is not supported. In total there is room for 13 120mm case fans. In terms of I/O (input/output) options for the two systems, there are naturally two places for those ports, one at the top and one at the very bottom of the chassis in the front panel. In terms of use cases, there are many possibilities. Thermaltake itself, for example, highlights how one system can be your main PC while the other could be the AI agent PC. Another example given is how it can be used to stream and game simultaneously with dedicated systems instead of hogging one with the entire load. Nothing regarding pricing or availability was said.
