26''?

I got the 26'' samsung, loving it, just some colour banding issues thru ps3 on HDMI :(

Yep it's the 26". I'm having no problems playing my 360 through VGA, but the auto brightness thing can get really annoying if I'm playing a game/watching a film where most of the scenes are half-dark so it's constantly flickering...

stick your tv into standby and press info->menu->mute->power

this will turn on the tv with the engineer menu onscreen, select 'option table' then on this screen you can disable dynamic dimming. it was a feature I hated too but once I set this the tv was better.

I accept cash and all major credit cards :p

there are loads of options under that menu, just be careful what you set. I tend not to play about with channel based stuff, but I turned off dynamic contrast and dynamic dimming and thats about it.

I've got a Wii, a PSone and my pc which has these specs:

-Core 2 Duo E6300 @ 3.1 Ghz

-1GB 667Mhz RAM

-Gigabyte DS3 Rev 2.0

-Ati Radeon X1300 Pro 256MB

-160GB Western Digital Sata

-Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit

I currently have a 17 inch Sony CRT, but I am upgrading this summer to a 19" Widescreen Viewsonic for my PC.

I have the Wii and PSone connected to a 27" TV.

is that the 26" samsung??

yup, the LE26R74BD is my tv, the monitor is the 19'' Samung BF930, both are ace screens, except I get colour banding on the TV when I have my PS3 plugged in to HDMI, not noticable in blu ray movies and game syou kinda forget its there.

    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
