In need of comfortable shoes

Since I have recently taken a job with Amazon, I am on my feet for 10+ hours a day and by the end of the shift my feet are really hurting! I have purchased the Dr. Schools custom inserts (the ones where you stand on the machine) and they seem to have helped a little bit, but I really am looking for a more permanent option. So I am looking for sugestions as to brands or other things to try. Thanks in advance!

Have you had a look at any of the 'Skechers for Work' shoes. I've had pretty good luck with them for 8 or so hours. Never had to go longer but they worked well for the time I had them on.

Another option might be Tred-Safe shoes. They're pretty comfortable and inexpensive.

Merelles mate I swear by them (im also an ex qualified surgical shoemaker) pricier than normal hill walking shoes/boots but they last an age and have proper Vibram soles (and totally breathable). My merelles last on average 2 years (2 pairs alternate days) in work. I can be on my feet an crouching up to 14hours a day. Nothing lasts like my Merelles tbh.

 

Always always insist on leather uppers and if possible breathable lining, as each foot sweats almost 330ml of sweat a day you know  thats why you should never wear the same shoes every day

Just got my niece a pair of these for her new job.  Has memory foam and she says they are really comfortable.  Steel toed as well.

I always go for the boot style, for extra support of my ankles. they also do an anatomical range which feel like slippers.

keep an eye on their web presence in the US, I noticed they have discounts on the Moabs atm. down from $140 to $90 iirc.

 

Other brands worth a mention if you can source them, are US Para boots, very well made. With the gortex side inserts.

IMO, best comfortable shoes are basketball sneakers! Air nikes... anything with lot of cushioning from them and you can get them at any store for less than $50 or even less if on sale. Just to go a store and try some out, you will see my point!

I wear Nikes.  Normally pay $80+ for them and they last me a couple years.  I got several pair.  normally get new soul inserts tho since the ones that come with the shoe, are thin and not very comfortable.

Another vote for Merrells here ... I've got two pairs of Jungle Mocs and another pair of waterproof boots (can't remember the model ..)

I wear the Mocs daily just about and they fit a treat ... and my feet are wider than most!  Very comfortable and extremely hard wearing too ...

I usually go for Nike Airs and actually bought new ones at the end of summer but they are fabric and absolutely not rain/waterproof as I keep discovering   so I need a pair of winter proof shoes too.

The most comfortable (and durable/longest lasting) shoes I've ever purchased have been Adidas' Gazelles.

I'm a big guy at 6'6", 250lbs with a size 14 foot so trying to find decent shoes isn't easy, however Adidas makes a sturdy product. Normally I wear holes in my soles about six months in. These have lasted me about 15 months with no sign of sole wear. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a simple, comfortable shoe.

For sneakers, I really like asics as a whole.  They are comfortable out of the box.

I swear by Geox shoes. Very comfortable and your feet never sweat in them.
