Dane
So last night, I noticed I couldn't open my start menu, at all. I can right click and get some options, other than that, I can't do anything. I downloaded the start menu tool from microsoft: Required applications are not installed correctly. Required applications are not installed correctly. "Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost" and "Microsoft.Windows.Cortana" applications need to be installed correctly. I click fix, it doesn't do anything. It says it's fixing it for about half an hour and nothing. sfc /scannnow is running again, i tried last night and it didn't show anything. If I right click on the start menu some things opens, other things like settings, do not. So I cannot even go into the settings to do a restore. Circaflex
Try this, log out of your account and log back in. Check if it works. My desktop did this recently and its super random but if i log off and log back on, it works. Ive yet to run the tool after doing that, ill give that a try this weekend.
