Seems more sci-fi then fantasy.

 

Looks like the type of movie where the less you know about it going in the better.

I was thinking the same thing but that's what the page for it on youtube said so who am I to argue otherwise?

The book/series on which this is based was quite interesting - its main feature was in the poetic descriptions of the environment, so it will be interesting to see how that is adapted into visual style.

 

Defining sci-fi versus fantasy can overlap at times. Fantasy doesn't necessarily mean in the past, and there wasn't a tremendous amount of "science" in the books.
