Get Full Scripts Here!

Question

Mr magoo adds : ok, we've needed this for a while. Thanks to smifffy for doing the leg work. IF you have any more scripts, add them on and remember to include a link and a comment, like how good / bad / easy to use it was.

-----------

okie am fed up of seeing all these threads so why dont we make a list?

EDIT: the reason behind this thread is that i see many threads asking for links to CMS's/Gallerys etc etc and i decided to make a nice list for them. :p.

I use Serendipity. http://www.s9y.org/

Serendipity is a weblog/blog system, implemented with PHP. It is standards compliant, feature rich and open source (BSD License).

Serendipity is constantly under active development, with a team of talented developers trying to make the best PHP powered blog on the net.

Serendipity has so far also proven 100% PHP5 compatible.

which Blog script you guys would recommend?

Cutenews is a great EASY to use system. AJ fork is even better version of Cutenews.

visit cutenews

Etomite is a nice one I just started testing. Full featured with many plugins. etomite

What I am building my site next is textpattern. This is more advanced and needs the user to have know how when building. Its a challege with a steep learning curve. textpattern

I am stuck between etomite and textpattern for what to build my site with. Wordpress to me is boring and unoriginal (my opinion not a fact).

Does anyone know of a decent news script that has the following:

> Simplicity on both end users and admin side so i can encorporate it into my current design

> Archives (Any news that isnt on the front page is "archived")

I do NOT need multi-users or RSS or comments or anything like that, just a simple news adding script.

Thanks,

Peter

Don't know if this still gets updated, but i would recommend PunBB for the forums category.

What is PunBB?

PunBB is a fast and lightweight PHP-powered discussion board. It is released under the GNU General Public License. Its primary goals are to be faster, smaller and less graphically intensive as compared to other discussion boards. PunBB has fewer features than many other discussion boards, but is generally faster and outputs smaller, semantically correct XHTML-compliant pages.
