Tablet Issues

Recommended Posts

I have a Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70F. Was the greatest thing. Cheap and good.

But, lately, the wireless keeps going in and out. I can be searching online, and all the sudden, it won't load the page. I go into wireless settings and I see it reconnecting.

I had this problem in laptops before. I just would swap in a new video card. But what can I do about the tablet? I never opened one before. Or if it is even replaceable. :/

Umm, you cannot swap a video card in a laptop without replacing the board.  And replacing a video card should have nothing to do in solving a wireless issue.

I would forget the wireless settings on the tablet and re-enter the info.  Also, try different APs and see if it is just related to yours, or multiple.

Would you swap out your video card to get your wireless working again?

What? This is a tablet, doesn't have any video card...

Have you tried to use other networks as techbeck suggested?

WTF did I write that... I meant wireless card... Darn, that's what happens when I don't drink my coffee in the morning... (CST)

I have tried different networks. Had 2.5 and 5.4 on my router. Also plugged in an old router, as an AP. Still acts up.

I don't think the router is at fault here. As my Mom is using wireless just fine downstairs. Her computer and iPad.

LOL

Getting back to your issue, try setting the IP address as Static in the tablet. Maybe it's a DHCP issue and it's loosing it's IP.

do you notice your tablet getting hot/warmer than usual when the connection issues start? I had a dell tablet that would act similarly if it got too warm

No, it always runs quite cool, actually...

I'll try the static IP thing.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet.

I did do a factory reset of it. It does seem to be better, but tomorrow I plan to tst it out more.

Could've been just and update that fooked it up...
