Installing nedit...

I downloaded Nedit from web, and extracted the package, then copied the folder I got to usr/local/bin. (because on one website, it is said that this will let your

nedit be system-wide use).

but when I type the command under the terminal, it still said 'cannot find the comment' things like that?

Is there anything I missed? by the way, I am using SuSE 9.0 Pro.

make sure /usr/bin is in your $PATH

just type $PATH in a console it'll list all that is in it..

also the nedit you downloaded is it a source or just a binary download? if its source you need to compile it first
