45 days of working for Amazon, now I am going to become a regular employee!

Recommended Posts

When I started at Amazon, I was hired as a white badge (seasonal) now it has been ~45 days and they are offering me a blue badge, which means in 60 days I can apply to transfer to a closer location! @sharpdesigner, I could not have gotten to this point without your help, I truly appreciate it!

Now, see if you can't get @neufuse's motherboards to him on time. ?

Can't do that, remember the NSA/CIA are bugging them before he gets them! :D?

So next Sunday (27 May) I will be converted from seasonal to permanent part time (blue badge) and after 60 days I am eligible to apply for a transfer and at 90 days I will get vision and dental insurance. Plus I will have a discount code that is 10% off all orders sold by Amazon!

Even better news! I got a phone call from the HR department at the site I work at, and the HR manager had reached out to the HR team at the fulfillment center closer to me (3 miles) and inquired about doing a good cause transfer, siting that I travel 12 miles each way to work on a bicycle in whatever climate condition might exist, and the response was sure we can accommodate as long as you are willing to train in PITT (forklift) to which I of course said yes! So I will be going from ~24 hours a week to 40 hours a week, plus medical/dental and vision insurance! So it will most likely be in about 2 weeks, but I will know more tomorrow when I go in and sign the paperwork for the transfer!

Congrats! I am still waiting to pick a schedule here in Ft. Worth myself. They just called me about a job fair tomorrow about five minutes ago! ? How ironic!

    • WTF? I am not taking a video of myself to access a site or to create an account. What are they thinking? I don’t even have a webcam on my main desktop PC. The powers to be are really looking to normalize the taking of pics or submitting ID for everything. I afraid most people will end up just going along with it.
