Is disconnecting data drives still a thing when fresh installing Windows?

I always disconnected drives. It's just a piece of mind. You won't "accidentally" put the bootloader or format the wrong drive. It's easy, you just disconnect the SATA port on the motherboard...

That advice works great for m.2 drives. ;)
