techbeck Posted August 10, 2018 Share Posted August 10, 2018 I have used the DART tools to reset passwords. Not sure if Hirens can do it. I have made it a habit on my friends/familys PCs to create another admin account and assign my own password. That way if something happens, I know I will be able to get in to the system. I've always just renamed cmd then once done just rename it right back. In these instructions, they use the copy command to duplicate it renamed. All he is saying is to delete the duplicate. Shiranui Posted August 16, 2018 Share Posted August 16, 2018 The utilman/cmd method is by far the best way of fixing this as it does not require any 3rd-party tools (which may be of dubious origin).
