I just browsed through the Windows folder and man, it's a mess in there, why couldn't Microsoft just create a log folder for example with all log files collected instead of them being scattered like now.

Not to mention all the "Codename Whistler" crap lying around. It's insane. I reckon if you added up all the crap and removed it then it's be a nice minimal install.

They actually do have a folder for logs, but most things dont use them :rolleyes:

C:\windows\system32\logfiles ...wmi and IIS log there, but oh well.

clock.avi was used to test display adapter settings back in windows 3.x i believe... it's REALLY time they deleted that.

Same with moricons.dll BLEH!!!!

i wish they would dedicate some time to longhorn picking out what they don't need anymore, and fixing inconsitancies everywhere else (icon, bitmaps, etc..)
