300 euro gaming pc without GPU

Any recommendations on pieces to build a gaming pc (300-350 euro budget) enough to handle a 1060 6gb. If it could have 8 gb ram and 1T of storage. Thanks

Umm, It would greatly help us if we knew a bit more. CPU preference? (do you overclock) Water or air cooling?ATX/mATX/ITX Motherboard? (also chipset) Can you carry over a PSU or Case?

 

About any system from the last few years can take upon the 1060.

Also take a look at pcpartpicker. You can put in components you have (like the graphics) and then find other compatible parts. All the prices are there so you can keep an eye on budget.

Maybe look into a Ryzen 3 or Intel i3 if brand new. Maybe something like an Intel i5 2300K from the used market if you want to get something with better performance - albeit a couple of generations behind-.

A Ryzen 5 2600 is currently about the best price per preformance for AMD. But it might be bit over his budget.

 

As I said above, we need to know more.

Any i7 from 2xxx or 3xxx generation still holds up really well... i5 didn't reach parity until later generations

Get any old used or new PC with an i7 from 2XXX to 9XXX that you can stuff in 16 gig RAM, a Samsung 256 gig 970 M.2 NVMe or 860 SATA SSD, any old HD lying around and your wonderful 1060 you already have.

...or even a athlon 200GE which can now be overclocked on certain mobo's thats about £100 for both,

 

100 for 3200mhz ram and the biggest ssd you can buy with the money left over

In North America, there is a flood of off-lease 2XXX and 3XXX based computers from HP, Dell and Lenovo. About 30% of them are i7.

 

A super cheap i7 2XXX or i7 3XXX makes a great budget gaming machine. These off-lease surplus PC's are business computers so the i7 mobos usually have 4 DDR3 DIMM slots which can hold 8 gig DIMMs for 32 gig RAM

 

Get computer for $100 and add RAM, GPU (low power 1050 or 1060) and SSD can be better than starting with cheap Mobo, CPU, CPU cooler, Case, PSU...

Yeah in the second hand market an eBay special would be king. Aslong as it had the appropriate power connector and room for the 1060
