I love Grits! I also love eating shrimp and grits, what a perfect combination! I did not grow up in the south, I was born and raised in Oregon, so when I moved to Florida that was the first time I had ever heard of grits, let alone tried them!

oh man, i love grits.   butter, salt, and pepper.   mmmmm    or shrimp and grits, where it has a little cheese in it.

and i was born and lived in florida all my life, but florida doesn't seem like a southerner type state.  at least not south florida

You are right, Florida is just... Florida, it just seems to be in a league of its own, not the south, but something! :D

I am not surprise.

Northern Florida is culturally southern; Southern Florida isn't.

The Bible Belt region is the area I considered culturally southern.

Perhaps, I'm in Jacksonville, almost the furthest north-east city in Florida, and there are plenty of church's around here, in the 3 miles I go to work, I pass 3 or 4, so yeah, it is definitely the bible belt!
