Can anyone please help me to understand Dynamic QR code concept.

It is said that in Dynamic QR code , content changes......Does that mean the QR image that I see on screen is also changes ?  or  that QR image remains fixed but content changes ?

 Not familiar with it but if the content changes, so does the image. The only way around that would be linking to a webpage and *that* content changes.

I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to, but I can tell you that when using Google Authenticator and trying to pair it using MobileID the QR code changes every so often (every minute, perhaps).

So my answer would be that the QR code changes, not the content.

The content changes too. The content is used to form the image.

Fair enough. As I said, I wasn't entirely sure about the question being asked. What would "content" be? The content of the QR code? I would have thought that was static?

Yeah that’s what I figured too. Unless it links to a webpage with the same url and it’s content changes. I would think it needs to be to do that.

I'm guessing its a QR code that links to a redirector that can change where it redirects?

So the image never changes, it points to the same place, but that's just an intermediary step that forwards the client to the end result.  The intermediary step is what can be changed.

Turns out, I'm basically correct.

( scanner device cant redirect)

It shows a url that redirects to whatever. QR codes only show what they are encoded to show. They cannot show anything else without changing the image. You can change where the url goes to though.

Example. I have a redirect called foo.com. I make a QR code. It points to foo.com. Foo.com this week redirects to google.com. Next week, I’ll change it to redirect to bing.com. Foo.com didn’t change, so the image didn’t change.

The URL that's in the QR Code is the same.  But it links to a redirector that can be changed.

qrcode -> qr.redirect.com/[yourid] -> [your site]

ie:
qrcode -> qr.redirect.com/123 -> neowin.net
qrcode -> qr.redirect.com/123 -> neowin.com

So the QR code ALWAYS goes to qr.redirect.com/123 but you change where qr.redirect.com/123 goes to.

The QR code image never changes.

The QR code content never changes - it always links the client to a url, the same url every single time.

BUT

That URL is just a forwarder.  Like a url shortener it then sends the user on the the page that it is "CURRENTLY" meant to.

My bus "e-ticket" uses an animated QR code which changes every 2 - 3 seconds the scanner is faster than the changes so i am not sure what purpose it actually has.

How it redirects ?

Is it like this ?

a  person scans first with his scanner device and he found out that  it is  foo.com after scan ....he then opens chrome browser and typed foo.com and hit enter.

Pretty much. Then foo.com goes wherever it is set to.

what you are trying to say here , in simple words , is

if your content is a Link  then its a Dynamic QR Code.

if your content is Not a  Link ( but text only)  then its a Static QR Code.

Is it really the difference between Dynamic QR Code and Static QR Code ?

    • The recent iOS (and macOS) updates feel more like incremental releases than major updates. Relatively modest changes and used as an excuse for dropping support for older devices. Although it does feel like iOS 26 might be visually very different, perhaps to take media attention away from Apple Intelligence problems.
    • There is no one at home at the top and is a straight out lunatic so this is not very surprising at all. My moral would be shot rolling crap out like the cybertruck.
    • I hope this is also rolling out to the website so don't have to install the mobile app to set privacy settings. WTF?
    • Not having a native app I guess is not good. That said when I have to use Windows and I want to use AI I do not use co-pilot. Lots of AI apps work on lots of OS’es. Just install the AI app you want on iOS or MacOs. Also we are in early days. In 3 years time I suspect lots of these AI apps will be gone either by not making it or being bought up by others.
    • Gemini can now catch you up on the latest changes to your files in Google Drive by David Uzondu Google recently announced a new feature for Drive designed to help you keep track of what has changed in your files without having to dig through them manually. The feature, called "Catch me up", shares its name with a similar tool in Google Chat, which helps users quickly catch up on conversations without scrolling through long message threads. With the new feature, Gemini will now attempt to identify files in your Drive that have been altered since you last opened them, offering a summary of these changes. This aims to save you the headache of figuring out what is new or crucial. This covers edits made to Docs and also new comments left on Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Google clarifies that this summary is not exhaustive but is meant to point out potentially important updates. To use it, you can find a "Catch me up" prompt on the Google Drive Home page, and clicking it will bring up the summary in the Gemini side panel. Alternatively, for individual files, you will see an activity indicator on documents that have likely changed. You can click this indicator directly or select the file and hit a "catch me up" button in the selection toolbar to get the lowdown. The feature is currently available in English and has begun rolling out to users on both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains. It could take up to 15 days for everyone eligible to see it. It is coming to Google Workspace accounts, including Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, as well as customers with a Gemini Education or Gemini Education Premium add-on, and Google One AI Premium subscribers. Users who previously bought the Gemini Business or Gemini Enterprise add-ons before those were discontinued for new sales on January 15, 2025, will also get access.
