I am using the dev preview of the new Chromium-based Edge, which I like very much.

However, the old Edge has 5 processes running as per task manager.

I would like to disable these processes, as I do not use the older version anymore.

Is this possible without affecting the stability of Windows itself, (as I have read in various places on the Internet)?

Is it even necessary?

Thanks. Seems that way.

I'd leave it alone for now and at some point down the line they'll remove the old Edge version on their own.    You could test it out for now and kill those processes and see what happens?  I also have them showing up so it's probably meant to for now.

Thanks. I did what you suggested, but they returned whenever I started Edge Chromium, so I guess you are correct.

I'll leave it alone.
