Do you eat the Orange peel with the orange?

When I use to bar hop every week, I would sometimes get a shocktop with an orange people. They would give the orange slice with the peel. Once I was done drinking the beer I would also eat the orange slice with the peel on it. Since then, whenever I cut an orange up I always leave the peel on ... it's sooo good... Grosses my girlfriend out. lol

Never tried it actually, but don't know anyone that has either.

I've seen people use it in recipes, but I've never actually eaten a citrus fruit with the peel. Apples and pears sure, but oranges, lemons, etc, no.

No way.  On some of the Youtube channels I watch, they have done eating challenges with lemons, limes etc and a lot of them eat them as they come.

Never eat the peel.  Peel shavings are used in cooking/drinks sometimes though.  But Warwagon, you are one sick SOB.... 😛

When I was a child, sometimes I'd feel lazy and eat the peel if I got slices of orange. This only ever happened if I got one cut up - if I got a whole orange, I'd peel before eating.

 

Knowing better in college, I did make a ton of candied orange peels and syrup once, and that got eaten pretty quickly.

when young I used to eat whole lemon slice by slice dipped in sugar. it was awesome!!!
