lt8480
We're having building works done in our flat. Our contractor has ran shielded CAT6 cable but there's no easy way to ground at the switch. Do i have to have to ground this type of cable? Will it create any problems if I don't? (i.e. can I just cut the sheathing/drain back an leave it) All the runs are less than 10m and I don't expect interference. Just wondering if the shielding being there risks creating any problems. goretsky Supervisor Posted August 9, 2020 Supervisor Share Posted August 9, 2020 Hello, Wouldn't you just use shielded Cat6a connectors? From watching this video it seems like a fairly straightforward process.
