First I've every heard of this term. Now I fear I will use this unknowingly. I hope it doesn't slip out in conversation at work. Ugh.

"Damn this is a Virgin USB port"

Just had one today, new Dell Laptop.

Depend on how old/used the device is you are plugging in as well.  Not just the port itself.   A used usb cable/drive tends to have wear patterns over time.

Adjective 2) Not yet, touched, used or exploited. The only thing that gives it away, is because it's hard to plug a USB device into the port due to the tight fit. I don't know why that's creepy or sick.

In this context ( ' goes in really tight' ) there are clear sexual connotations regarding the female and her anatomy, what with ports being referred to as either male or female. Virgin has contemporarily referred to a complete absence of sexual activity.

e.g. Do you call unused flash drives virgins ? No ?

What's going to be really funny is when you come across a brand-new computer and plug in a flash drive into its port for the first time and think of this thread 😄 ... you'll be like...Well....

As far as getting creeped out by the phrase. I guess I don't get creeped out by much.

True, but the usb on a flash drive is the male end and the port is the female, and the fact of the matter is the female port is the tight one. It's just the way it is. Do I call the Male virgin, no, the only thing that brings to my attention it's never been used before is usb devices goes in tight into the port. otherwise I probably wouldn't even notice.
