Mouse pointer

I use chrome as my main browser, I am wondering if there is a way so the mouse pointer appears in the search box without having to click on it and then type? Maybe by an extension or some other method?

If you already have your hands on the ready on your keyboard then type(using Windows) "ctrl+l" 'l' as in Leo - this will put of course only highlight your adressbar, but if you use Google as your search engine in Chrome then you will automatically search using the Google search engine.
