BOOT sequence option not available in BIOS

Recommended Posts

I have an old DELL precision workstation T3400

I recently wanted to change the boot sequence, but it isn't there or not shown any more.

It used to be there, but all of a sudden I can't see it.

I can see all my Drives properly, and I was lucky I can use it without any problems because I had set the first boot priority to my SSD.

Tried to change the battery, it didn't help.

I  unplugged all cables and replugged them, not solved.

Has anyone here any Idea how I can get this back?

My friend Google wasn't there to help either

Thank you

That sounds weird.

Can you get us a picture of the BIOS? With camera or phone?

Did you update your BIOS recently? Or if there is one?

Might need to reset your BIOS, as well.

I'm just curious, rather than going in to the BIOS what happens if you select F12 to select the boot device manually? Can you see the HDD, USB, Network etc.?

That is very trivial, everyone knows this, of course yes

It may be trivial, but you didn't mention that you had done it. ;)

EDIT: @Mindovermasterasked about updating the BIOS. Is there an update available?

I have left the PC as it is, I haven't been able to resolve the problem to the present

So all of our suggestions do not help you?

You'd be surprised at the amount of times, even something as simple as a CMOS reset, is often overlooked. We cannot assume the level of skill for every forum user, hence why you often are given some of the most common troubleshooting tips.

    • Or, it is Apple simply overinflated the screens.
    • Is it that easy though? WhatsApp is the default way the majority message in a lot of countries these days. I would prefer Signal to be as popular as WhatsApp and probably could get a few people to use it, most people are probably going to stick with WhatsApp sadly. Which leaves SMS or Facebook Messenger as alternatives a lot of people also have. (Here anyway, I know iMessage, LINE and WeChat dominate in certain parts of the world). It annoying Meta purchased WhatsApp all those years ago.
    • Do they tell Google not to scrape their content via something like robots.txt? Do they specify anywhere that certain agents aren't to scrape? If not, tough. Plus there's no obligation on anyone's part to adhere to any directives that might be in this file anyway...

It is an easy to use yet powerful tool that will assist both novice and experienced users in getting back lost files in just a few simple steps.
