Possible to convert from Pop to Imap email?

My sister has been using Microsoft Outlook through the years for her email and has many folder with files in them. She has decided she wants to stop using Outlook and get her email through yahoo.com webmail. I found the problem is all this time she has been using a Pop mail account. My question is, is it possible to convert her account from Pop to Imap in Outlook and then it will sync with yahoo webmail so all of her folder and files will appear in yahoo webmail? I appreciate your help.

does yahoo support IMAP? I haven't used the service in years and last I remember you had to pay for IMAP support on it or something.

 

as for the outlook client you just need to delete the email and set it back up on the client. I'm not aware of a way to just convert the existing setup.
