Cleaning LCD screens

Hey people, my LCD screen is full of marks and stuff, kinda when you don't wash water off a window. I can't really see it when it's on, but when it's off and the screen is black, it's really obvious.

How should i clean that?

Water?

I really don't wanna take any special risk with that...

There is a special type ofr liquid you spray on. On my laptops, I use Kensignton Screen Guardian. Just spray it on and wipe it down with lint free wipes (also Screen Guardian by Kensington).

paper towel or better soft cloth - with water. a bit of soap whould be fine too on tough spots.

(ohh and a microfiber cloth is excelect too)

I use a microfibre cloth meant for cleaning windows to do mine (make sure it doesn't have any window cleaner juice on it tho!)

Scotch tape can pull off finger prints or other marks...

50/50 ISOPROPHYL ALCOHOL / WATER SOLUTION.

Pure isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) is fine as well. It's not strong enough to dissolve the film on the LCD screens like other acid solutions.

In my manual it says switch off power and use a damp cloth

Do NOT use paper towels. They scratch screens very easily. Plus, I don't think regualr hand soap is a good idea.
