Better way to Share Email?

My wife and I have our own separate Outlook.com accounts.

We both want to be able to access an email account that is set up for joint things, so we set up a 3rd Outlook.com account.

 

It seems when adding an Outlook.com account to another, it works for me but my wifes account just says the joint account needs IMAP access.  I can't figure out how to do this as Outlook.com just mention POP not IMAP.  And besides, I haven't changed anything with my connection to it - I just added it and that was that.

 

Is there an easier way to do this?
