Tripod with tablet mount

Hi,

 

I am hoping someone can give me an opinion in the general chat forum for once so here goes, I have a tripod camera holder but I want to us it it for a tablet. The tripod has a screw on the end of it whicg is 1/8" inch in size and about 3/8 of an inch in length. The mount looks like the following:

 

https://www.ebay.com/itm/124998819343?hash=item1d1a829e0f:g:-DgAAOSwY39hvKsS   which has a 1/4 nut to mount on to it.  The screw doesnt look like it is more than 1/4 inch long. I am wondering if i used a metal epoxy and glued the 1/8 nut to the head of a 1/4 screw head similar to this:

 

https://www.mscdirect.com/product/details/83242396    if the combination will hold the tablet in place with enough stability? I highly doubt it but I thought i would get some other opinions.

 

Other methods of accomplishing this is welcomed as well. The tablet is 6 inch by 10 inch.
