Backup solution

Hi, I am looking for a backup solution where I can backup certain folders on my PC. I have a Synology NAS which is mirror'd and some files are already configured in the NAS to be backed up in the cloud. I want to make a share on this drive where I can map it in Windows as a network drive and, where I can backup my data to using a tool, and I want it to run whenever I need it to and on a weekly schedule as I don't want the NAS drives constantly spinning up pointlessly. I don't have a need for it to backup every small change. From here I can configure file versioning + cloud backup in my NAS for the folder.

 

Can anyone provide any suggestions or software that can do this? Thanks!

You simply cannot go wrong with Backblaze B2 solution. I have over 500 GB stored there. I even backup my entire Synology NAS to the cloud and my monthly bill rarely exceeds $ 3 USD a month as you can see on the screenshots below. Super easy, super secure, stable, flexible etc. etc. It simply fills all the checkmarks for me.

Try it out. You won't regret it.

Yes, this is what I use but I let my NAS upload to Backblaze. I already have it configured for photos, but photos are stored on my NAS directly.

 

This solution is for

 

PC > NAS > Backblaze

 

Then I have a local copy on my mirror NAS and then backed up to Backblaze in case all goes wrong!

 

Also I have installed SyncBack, it is now running, so simple to use and seems to be a very powerful tool, really thanks for the suggestion! I decided to buy the Pro as it is on offer, it has file integrity check which is great to be sure all my files backed up are OK!

I wouldn't say it is any better, but it is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Lmao, my bad dude. You were asking for a software solution to back up your files to a cloud storage, lol. I thought you were asking about a cloud back up service.

Ya, i've been using it for years. I use it ALL the time. I also LOVE the fact they don't treat you like a thief and don't require activation.
