Yankees to add Maddox to their allstar team

Recommended Posts

I dont give a ****, Yankees are making MLB a ****ing joke.

If I was a yankee fan and im far from one, I would be happy, cause its an amazing team, but deep down inside I would know this is not how championships should be won.

This really makes me sick and it is no wonder that MLB intrest have gone down as every year passes

I never said I didnt want it, I just understand that it will never happen

I am almost convinced after all this, it will definitely be in the talks, and the players union has zero leverage.

Stuff like this makes 1/3 of the teams in the league completely obsolete. Fans will lose interest, and such.

If Maddox signs with the Yankees, baseball will become sport's official joke.

Baseball is to far from hockey, you wont have superstars not play well together like the Rangers. Baseball is almost like a one on one sport. Hockey you need to atleast somewhat like/respect your teamates. You need to know there positioning and the such. But I must say that, even though this is a joke, I would be happy to be a Yankee's fan. As a fan, you can only ask your owner do one thing and that is give your team a chance to win every year. Who defines that more the Boss? I really hope my Angels kick his ass.

no. NO. NOOO. **** NOOOOO.

You have got to be kidding me.

First of all, its Maddux with a U

Second, the Yankees suck more than ever before if this happen

This would turn Greg Maddux from my favorite player ever to a disgrace.

He has had several great offers from great teams. If he signs with the Yankees, it would be lower than low. Tom Glavine would be a hero to Braves fans again.

This is pathetic.

I was just about to go to bed and i decide to do one last neowin check, and i see this load of buffalo ****. I swear if this happens, im going to cry.

PLEASE GREG, DONT DO IT!

I'm off to pout about the Yankees. Later.

I'm from Boston and i've always hated the Yankees, but this just makes it all that much worse.

It'll take away from the actual competition of the game between good teams...and make it a monopoly of sorts as they win most games against basically any other team in the league.

Where is the source of this story ?? I've read other news articles that completely contradicts this rumour

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1736923

Yankees GM denies the rumor however this is what he should be doing. Tomorow afternoon is A-Rods day when they make the offical press conference welcoming him to the yanks. It would be foolish of him to say they are close to a deal with maddux and take some spotlight off A-Rod.

Yankess GM in my opinion will want to keep this off the radar just like they did with A-Rod.

Its not a gareentee because I know Maddux said he only wants to pitch in the NL, but odder things have happened.

I think it is a done deal.

Hahaha, I invite them to take Maddux. He hasn't exactly been impressive the past few years (watching Braves games when he pitched became hard to watch alot of times).

This is funny, though. The players won't even have to strike to ruin the game once and for all. I'm sure alot of the fans will become disgusted with the sport by the end of the year. I know I already am.

I refuse to go see the Yankees in Oakland this year.

I'm done defending the Yankees. George spends his money well, simple as that. Go yankees!

Yeah, when you can buy championships no **** you're spending your money well. It ruins the game for everyone else though.

It's almost like they're to the point that they'll need to split the teams up in divisions according to team salaries.

    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
