Just bought a Kindle Oasis (2019) WiFi + 4G for €130 ($130)

Recommended Posts

Managed to find a Kindle Oasis that was posted just yesterday to a local secondhand site here in The Netherlands, it already had a few bids on it but mine won at €130, considering it costs €319 new, that's a really good deal. Of course I will have to update this post once I receive it to update if it was all good.

I already have a couple of eBooks, including the "I'm Glad My Mum Died" by Jennette McCurdy (via Google Books) but no dedicated device.

I am planning to purchase some Spike Milligan books too because I have heard the ones about his time during the war are really good.

Does anyone know if the free 4G is transferable between Amazon accounts?

They didn't send the charge cable or box it came in, but I have a couple of charging cables that fit.

Immediately logged into and registered it with Amazon, and everything is working :)

How different is it to the Paperwhite?
It's like double the price, which I believe the only reason to upgrade would be a more comfortable hand grip and 2 browse buttons.

Has more LEDs for a more even lighting, according to reviews it matters.

I particularly like how it weighs next to nothing compared to a 7" Android tablet.

as far as i'm aware the sim is tied to the device, not the account, the device is then tied to an account.

I still use my Kindle Keyboard 3G, still works a charm, just replaced the battery in it two years ago.  Can't browse the web with it anymore since software updates have been discontinued though, the only other thing I don't like about Kindles in general is it doesn't support epub's so you have to use something like calibre to convert to either mobi or awz

Yeah I have already had to convert a Google eBook that I transferred to it.

A major compiler is used for both x86/x64 and WoA64 architectures. This also means that all core libraries are re-compiled accordingly which required some changes in the build scripts. One of the core libraries (cURL) has been updated to address vulnerabilities and a nasty linker error that was causing the need for a dedicated patch which could now be eliminated. • You missed out, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were beautiful epic masterpieces, I never got to play The Last Guardian sadly so can't really comment on that one.
