Navy NCIS

I like it.

I've been playing catch up by watching it from the beginning. I can hum the theme

in my head at night while dreaming. I like Cote de Pablo better than Sasha Alexander :)

Mark Harmon is a good lead character and I like the directing of the series as well.

Note: I KNOW this thread is old, but as the show is still on and its a topic already made,

I figured this wouldn't be locked. However, 4 years and 7 months is quite a while.

Jenny's character I had mixed feelings towards, but in the end I'm glad that she is gone. Mixed emotions and that personal vendetta was

overstated.

Cote de Pablo is indeed awesome!

Looking forward to it :D

P.S. The topic should be NCIS, not NAVY NCIS since thats basically saying Navy Navy Criminal Investigation Service

Yeah. I watch. I like Cote a whole lot .. though my favorite character is Abby.

I love NCIS, Abby wears some cool clothes :D I like the fact that at times the show is hilarious and from each episode you get a good giggle, when Gibbs slaps DiNozzo  around the head it never fails to make me laugh.

For ages I thought McGee was called Proby till one day Tony made a joke and I suddenly realised what it actually meant   I never really got Jenny though, there was something about her voice that used to really grate on me I won't be sad to see her go.

Bah, Jenny is gorgeous and I love her voice. I wish she was on the show instead of Pablo.

Show has a great sense of humour and professionalism mixed in. Though they are "non-military" agents, the times I've met people in the military, they have the same attitude. In any case, much better than watching that moron Horatio and the other Cast members of CSI and the crappy plots and acting that come with.

Its sad that the actors make way more money than the real-life agents.

csi was good for the dirst 4 season, all the spin-offs killed it and also all the polts where every main character gets attacked near a season finale only good one was the buried alive one...

and yeh it piloted as navy ncis lol.

i guess with leon at the start of season it will be just a tension plot

Tony is still out on the Ronald Reagen, but judging by the episode preview, that episode is about him and I hope they get him home safely.

What I've noticed though is that certain elements are always the same, but I don't get tired of them.

P.S. Ziva looked smokin in that blue # in the opening scene...

I like her more in the t-shirt and the cargo pants she always wears, it's sexy in a certain way. But it might be a soldier thing because a few other guys I know agree with me, one a marine, the other in the army.

even though im happy for the whole crew to be back i wonder what will happen with the lawyer chick storyline, either they will keep it all the way for the season finale or someone gets killed/badly hurt and the storyline comes back. They seem to have dismissed it altogether to get tony back..:p

edit: i spoil the fun

why is that a spoiler... its just my take on what could possibly happen from past storylines

get over yourself :)

It's a spoiler, as some people may potentially not have seen the first episode of the season yet... hence why others in the thread were considerate enough to use spoilers. I wasn't trying to be facetious... just thinking about others ;)

on the subject of spoilers, once the next episode has been shown on tv i don't think it's a spoiler anymore. so to be fair the "first episode" is over a week old and an episode behind

If this were a forum devoted to episode discussion, I'm sure spoiler tags would be mandatory.

I tend to agree with Perma, if the episode has aired at least 24 hours ago (all time zones covered), then its

fair game to discuss here. However, I still think some "crucial" plot lines could possibly be spoiler tagged to

be nice.

    • Microsoft: Windows 11 could finally solve a major issue across AMD, Nvidia, and Intel GPUs by Sayan Sen While Microsoft has been trying to improve it, Windows 11 is definitely not flawless, as even today some issues are taking a year to publicly acknowledge. However, one area of trouble that may finally see much better results soon is graphics driver crashes. Work on graphics driver timeouts, also called Timeout and Detection Recovery (TDR), is not new as the latest WDDM 3.2 also has specific improvements regarding it. Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) version 3.2 is supported on Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2. However, with the upcoming version 26H2, TDR crash diagnosis could go to the next level as Microsoft is introducing a new DirectX 12 API feature called "DirectX Dump Files". Similar to how system memory dump files work when a system crashes or freezes or encounters any such major issue, DirectX Dump Files (DDF) will essentially record a snapshot of the GPU execution right at the moment a graphics-related crash or hang or freeze occurs, so that developers can better understand and diagnoze these TDR and timeout detection errors. The dump will be available as a .dxdmp file for analysis and it will be a comprehensive dump file generated with detailed insights about the hardware, drivers, Windows, as well as the affected application. This should be another welcome change in this department. Earlier at GDC 2026, when the technology was first debuted, Microsoft had shared more details regarding it. The company had explained how DDF is designed to gather data from every layer of the graphics stack into a single file, eliminating the need for developers to manually correlate logs from multiple tools. As mentioned above, the dump can contain a lot of useful details like GPU hardware state information such as register values, shader program counters, page fault virtual addresses, shader memory data, and command buffers. Alongside that, it also captures DirectX runtime and kernel information, including D3D objects, pipeline state objects, device error data, adapter details, and CPU call stacks. Microsoft says the feature has been built around two primary use cases: retail device removals and local device removals. The former allows developers to collect crash information from end users' systems in the field, while the latter helps QA teams and developers investigate issues on test machines. Developers will also be able to include up to 2 MB of custom application data through new D3D12 APIs, providing additional context for troubleshooting. In addition, Microsoft is introducing three dump collection modes ranging from zero-overhead capture, which has no runtime performance impact on supported hardware, to higher-detail modes that collect more vendor-specific debugging data. On compatible Tier 2 hardware, zero-overhead dumps will be enabled by default, meaning developers may begin receiving useful crash diagnostics without making any code changes. The table below explains the three tiers: Tier Description NO_OVERHEAD Enables crash capture with no runtime cost and is suitable for broad deployment MEDIUM_OVERHEAD Provides a balance, capturing additional diagnostic data with moderate impact HIGH_OVERHEAD Collects the most detailed GPU and driver state available, enabling deeper investigation at the cost of higher runtime overhead In terms of availability, the company expects broader release to be around the fall of 2026, which should be right around the time when Windows 11 version 26H2 lands. Right now, DirectX Dump Files are available as a preview and currently, only AMD has the compatible AgilitySDK Developer Preview driver version 26.10.07.02. You can find the official announcement post here on Microsoft's website.
