Hey devil m8, do you know why I get "cannot find wscript" in restorer ? when replacing files ?

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me out, I was wondering which icons to reshack in the shell32 to change the start menu folders, I would like to use the folders with the new windows logo on top.

I've been looking at the size of these files and the size of the orig ones, how badly does the bigger dlls affect system preformance?

Armada - Its icon group no.20 in the shell32 :)

marduk - It shouldnt affect much if u got like 256 mb ram or more. Ive just got 128 mb ram n I do notice the difference when i switch back to the default shell32.

Bellerophon - Did u rebuild ur icon cache and do a restart after that?

*sigh*, its not working at all for me...ive used "Copylock" , "replacer" , "DOS" and doing it manually but all thats changed is, the cp and the applications I replaced.

I still have the default icons for my folders etc even tho ive replaced ALL of the dlls using the above programs...and yes...I have used tweakui to rebuild my icons

Well the way i did it is like this:

-replace all cp, dll and app with replacer

-restart windows

-use tweakui to rebuild my icons.

edit: is it me or when you right click and save target as it still displays the default AVI ? :blink:

well i know abt restorator and replacer but i was wondering abt the "restorer" which simmo posted on pg.6

1. what are the cpls for?? to replace the control panel icons?? same thing with the exes??

2. What dll updates the About Windows dialog box?? I rather it stay in it's original state.
