uh that's just there if the author of the thread wishes to use a particular emoticon "post icon" for their first post in the thread.

Since this thread's title is Abyblue (UPDATED) here I was thinking the VS was newly updated. :(

When a thread hasn't been replied to for an unusually long time, the only reason it should be bumped like this is if the VS in question has been updated, or in some cases if you have something significant to post about the VS itself. Posting to an old thread just to announce that links are down and ask if "anyone has got new link???!!?!" should be avoided until you exhaust other possibilities first. Try PMing/emailing the author, or start a new thread in the main forum asking if someone can send you a copy.
