Has anyone played this? I bought this on GOG and (Steam + extras) when it came because I wanted to support Ron but I didn't have time to play this at the time.

I have to say I haven't enjoyed a game this much in 20 years. This game really takes you back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Soundtrack is also amazing, kind of a Twin Peaks feeling in it.

I just finished this and wanted to do it like it would be 1990, but near the end I got so frustrated that I had to Google what to do. I think it was 3-4 things I didn't figure out myself. It took about 24 hours to finish this.

I really think this is a masterpiece but of course this comes from someone who was 12-13yo when Monkey Island 1&2 was released. Would be nice to know what modern humans think of this though.

Not a modern human, in fact even older! (I was slightly younger when those original games came out and they were amazing for sure - Thimbleweed does definitely take me back there, especially it's little mini-map with the moving person (pixel)).

Apparently, Return to Monkey Island (Released last year) is also really good if you've got time to play more things by Ron... Perhaps play Monkey Island 1 & 2 special Edition if you're want to relive the original or Day of the Tentacle Remastered if you've not played it.

Anddd there's a huge number of modern ones you can find on steam by filtering point and click and selecting the adventure filter.  Guess it's how much time you have to play them!

Day of the Tentacle was what I was thinking of playing next as I never played it back in the day. I think I was 11-13 when MI1&2 came and after that there was Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam so my gaming ended there until 98-99 😂

So much nostalgia in one photo. I have good memories of Sam and Max, one of the few ones I managed to complete without help. Some of those were devilishly hard or so I thought back in the day. Grim Fandango I never got around to finish. I think I made it to second year or the second part, whatever they called it.

Thimbleweed Park was on a Epic giveaway I think, it's definitely on my library :)

So many, so little time.
